WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT?
We start with drawing and customizing your brows to your eyes and face shape, to make sure we are giving you the brows of your dreams. We will then put topical numbing on for about 20 - 25 minutes to make sure you are comfortable. We then start the pigmentation process with a first pass. Throughout the session we use a secondary anesthetic to reduce pain, swelling and redness so you are guaranteed to be comfortable. The total appointment time varies but plan for about 3 hours. After the session we will go over the aftercare instructions and you will receive an aftercare kit & instruction to take care of your new beautiful brows.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please do not drink Coffee or caffeinated beverages on the day of, prior to your appointment. Limit alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to appointment. Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done two weeks prior or two weeks after your appointment.
WHAT IS THE HEALING LIKE?
For 5 - 7 days you will be required to use your aftercare kit as instructed at your appointment. Your brows will look dark for the first few days. Once they have healed they will lighten 20-50%, after 4 - 6 weeks your pigmentation will be fully healed and you can decide if you would like touch up.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Brow pigmentation can last 2 - 5 years. This depends on factors such as the pigmentation technique, age, skin type, sunscreen & lifestyle. Pigmentation used in cosmetic makeup are designed to fade over time. This allows you to change the shape and colour of your brows as we age.
DOES IT HURT?
Everyone experiences pain tolerance is different, so unfortunately its not a clear cut answer. Brow techniques are non invasive and you are numbed before and during the session to ensure your are comfortable & relaxed.
I HAVE BOTOX, CAN I HAVE MY BROWS DONE?
Yes! However, please wait 2 weeks in before or 2 weeks after your appointments.
HOW DO WE CHOOSE A COLOUR?
Colour is chosen based on your hair colour and skin tone. Brow pigments heal differently than what you see in the bottle so extensive experience and knowledge of colour theory is used to choose the colour that is perfect for you.
WILL YOU REMOVE MY EYEBROW HAIR?
Any brow hair that is within the desired brow shape will not be removed. We may remove a few unruly stragglers.
I HAVE HAD MY BROWS DONE ELSEWHERE, IS THIS AN ISSUE?
If you have had your brows done previously we require that you send a photo. This will allow us to determine if your previous brows have faded enough for a cover up or if saline removal is needed.
